This coastal haven offers a plethora of activities, from exploring the city to exhilarating options like quad biking, a visit to the renowned Sandwich Harbour, or an expedition to the enigmatic Skeleton Coast. Day 6 - Hoanib Valley Camp, Skeleton Coast
Our journey from Swakopmund to Hoanib is planned for an early arrival, ensuring ample time for our scheduled afternoon activities. These activities encompass a diverse range of experiences, including game drives aimed at tracking the desert-adapted lion, elephant, and giraffe. Additionally, there will be opportunities for immersive nature walks, engaging rhino-tracking adventures, and cultural encounters with the local Himba and Herero communities. For those interested, there's an opportunity to delve deeper into the ongoing giraffe research within the area (please contact us for further information on project funding). The lodge will provide detailed information on the day's scheduled activities upon our arrival.

Day 7 | 8 - Opuwo Country Lodge, Kunene
Today, following a satisfying breakfast, we bid farewell to the Hoanib Valley Lodge as we journey northward toward Opuwo. Opuwo stands as a cultural hub for the Ovahimba people, offering an authentic and immersive experience into their unique heritage. Over the next two days in Opuwo, our itinerary includes an Afternoon Himba Excursion on the first day, followed by a full-day Epupa Falls Excursion on the subsequent day. While there are other captivating activities like visiting the Ruacana Falls, time constraints may limit our ability to explore both waterfalls. It's crucial to approach these experiences with respect for the local customs and traditions. Please note that while photographing the Himba people, seeking permission is advised, and embracing humility is essential as communication might be hindered due to language barriers.

Upon arrival, you'll complete check-in procedures, followed by a leisurely lunch and an opportunity to refresh. Subsequently, immerse yourself in relaxation at the spa. Following this rejuvenating experience, you may opt to retire for the evening or savor a delightful dining experience by the serene pool area. While today's route involves a considerable drive, we've arranged intermittent stops to ensure comfort and exploration. En route, we'll pause at Okahandja for a visit to a local craft market, offering a chance to stretch and explore. Upon reaching Windhoek, we'll facilitate a smooth check-in, allowing time to freshen up before an evening dinner.
