Day 1 - Benguerra Island
Upon arrival at O.R Tambo International Airport, proceed with your check-in for the flight to Vilanculos International Airport or opt for the check-in from Kruger Mpumalanga Airport. Upon landing at Vilanculos International Airport, you'll be seamlessly transferred onto a helicopter bound for &BEYOND Benguerra Island. As the second largest island within the Bazaruto Archipelago, Benguerra promises an unparalleled encounter with Mozambique's vibrant marine life and an array of island adventures. Renowned for its towering sand dunes, inland lakes, and serene beaches, Benguerra earned National Park status in 1971. The island hosts over 140 bird species, while its surrounding pristine waters harbor the rare dugong and showcase one of the world's most pristine coral reefs.
Day 2 - Benguerra Island
Experience an unforgettable equine adventure with Swimming with Horses on &BEYOND Benguerra Island, catering to riders of all ages and levels. Attire yourself in swimwear for this exhilarating experience, riding bareback into the warm, azure waters of the Indian Ocean atop your horse. Enjoy the delightful splashes and contented sounds from your mount as it gently traverses the calm waters surrounding the lodge. After the ride, dismount and let your horse relish a well-deserved roll on the beach. This 30 to 45-minute adventure accommodates a maximum of 4 guests per swim and can be enjoyed independently or as an add-on to a more extensive horseback exploration of the island. Please note, the Swimming with Horses activity is seasonal and subject to weather and tide conditions.
Day 3 - Benguerra Island
Explore the unspoiled beauty of this picturesque island through fully customized expeditions tailored to your interests. Day 4 - Benguerra Island
